For either application technique, depending on if the product is opaque or clear, glazing can be done on bisque white or red ceramics, which are dust- and grease-free. The result will vary depending on if white or red ceramic is used, due to its reactive basis. This collection of colours can be mixed with each other and their firing temperatures range between 980\u00b0C to 1080\u00baC.
