El fusionado de vidrios consiste en la elevación de la temperatura del vidrio hasta que se funda y se puedan unir dos planos de vidrio. Admite su coloración con óxidos preparados y materias primas. La temperatura de fusión del vidrio depende del tipo de vidrio. Los vidrios a unir pueden ser de diferentes colores pero deben ser compatibles.
